Information for Disabled Visitors or those with mobility problems

Although dogs are not admitted to Ancient Monuments, we welcome assistance dogs, so long as thay are in harness during your visit. Trainee assistance dogs and puppies are also welcome in the grounds but must be kept on harness under strict control. Please telephone if any doubt exists.

Please be aware that the path between the car park and Exhibition and Visitor Centre is for pedestrians only. Should you need to drop off passengers closer to the Exhibition Centre, you are welcome to ring ahead to arrange to use the side access path where ramps lead directly to the café terrace.

WC's: there is a separate adapted WC in the foyer.

Grounds: we regret that due to the nature of the site, the grounds are not accessible to people with mobility restrictions.

Disabled parking: All car parking is free. There are three disabled parking spaces approximately 200 metres from the entrance. A paved path leads to automatic doors.

By car or coach:

Take the A3055 from Ryde to Sandown. A mile after leaving Brading turn right 300 metres past the traffic lights into Morton Old Road, then follow the signs to Brading Roman Villa. There is free parking on site.

By bus:

Take Service 3 from Ryde or Sandown. The stop you need is "Devonia", then follow the signs to Brading Roman Villa. For more information plese visit www.islandbuses.info

By train:

Take the Island Line service to Brading, then take bus Service 3 to Sandown for approximately one mile. The stop you need is "Devonia", then follow the signs to Brading Roman Villa.
